What's On The Menu At Next Commissioner's Meeting?

By Dave Maxwell

Lincoln County Commissioners have several interesting items on the agenda to discuss during the next regular meeting January 22 at the Courthouse in Pioche:

  •  There will be a presentation regarding Lincoln County Ambulance Services. Charles Reifsynder was at the January 7 Commissioners meeting explaining the desperate situation facing Lincoln County with EMTs, especially in the northern part of the County.
  • A meeting of the Panaca Fire District Board of Directors, which includes all of the Commissioners, will be held under a separate agenda.
  • A report will be given on the progress of the full grant application to the Economic Development Administration for $2.3 million for on-site infrastructure for the Alamo Industrial Park.
  • Discussion and presentation by the Panaca Town Board regarding road repairs.
  • Discussion/Action on a request from attorney Barry Newman to increase his contract figure by $75,000 from Lincoln County Nuclear Oversight Program funds.
  • Approve/Deny adoption of the Lincoln County Addressing Policy.
  • Approve/Deny a service contract with Gnomon, Inc. of Carson City, to develop a GIS database and E911 dataset for Lincoln County at a cost of $16,500.
  • An update on Airport Capital Improvement Plans for the Lincoln County Airport in Panaca and the Alamo Landing Field.

The meeting is open to the public and begins at 9 am in the Commission Chambers.
