Lincoln County and Pahranagat Valley both participated in the Desert Classic in Tonopah January 11-12. Lincoln Coach, Mason Stackhouse, said the Lynx had two men who placed in the top four in their weight divisions. Matt Jones was second place and Will Miller fourth place, both at 140-lbs.

Panther Coach, Brad Loveday, had four of his wrestlers place in the top four. Nathan Whipple won all four of his matches by pin to take the 160-lbs. class. Dane Mulliner was second at 130-lbs., Jay Leavitt fourth at 152-lbs., and Isaac Spencer was first place at 189-lbs.

PVHS garnered 97 team points for third place in the 17-team field.

This week Lincoln will be at the Milford, Utah tournament on January 19, while Alamo takes part in the Duel in the Desert at Indian Springs January 18-19.
