Letty Utz, age 55, passed away after a long illness. She lost her battle with cancer and died January 6, 2007 at her home in Pioche, Nevada.

Letty was born in Tondo-Manila of the Philippine Islands to Hilario and Maria GOnzales nee Sembrano. She married John Utz on December 3, 1968 in the Philippines.

They have one daughter, Mia Kim Serena of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Letty was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, a Life Member of the Eastern Stars, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans organization.

Letty is survived by her husband,  John, of Pioche, daughter Mia of Pennsylvania, a brother Renaldo Gonzales and three sisters, all of the Philippines.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Town Hall in Pioche.

Funeral services were handled by Southern Nevada Mortuary.
