Obituary Notice
for
Howard McCrosky
September 01, 1933 – January 26, 2007
On September 1, 1933 in Beatty, Nevada , Howard began his life. He was the 3rd son of Robert McCrosky and Lena (Lytle) Mathews.
The family stayed in Beatty for a number of years before moving to Caliente for a short period of time. From there the family moved to Oregon where Howard graduated from High School.
As the boys were growing up the family would visit their grandparents, Les and Ellen Lytle, in Rose Valley . Howard enjoyed these visits and at times didnŐt want to return home. So after graduating from High School he moved to Rose Valley .
In 1956 he was drafted into the Navy and served for 18 months. He went to several countries and crossed the equator on the USS INGERSOL. When his time to serve was up he was very happy to get back to Rose Valley .
Howard was running a piece of equipment for Soil Conservation at Geyser Ranch to clean ditches.Ę This was Easter 1961 when he met Linda Wilson. They were married on October 6, 1962 . He built their home which they moved into in August of 1964, two months before Loy was born. In 1967 Lane joined the family.
For the next 40 years Howard was on the ranch he enjoyed so much. For a number of years he and his brother Bill ran the ranch together. In 2004 McCrosky Brothers sold the ranch. This was all right with Howard because he felt it was time to retire.
Howard was an Ordained Pastor and for over 20 years went to the Honor Camp for a Bible Study that was held once a week. He enjoyed the men a lot.
Howard is survived by his wife Linda ( Wilson ) McCrosky, daughter Loy Ruth McCrosky, daughter Lane Dianne Lee (McCrosky) Bernardi, and son-in-law Jeff Bernardi whom he considered a son, brothers, William McCrosky, Robert McCrosky and Max McCrosky.
On Friday, January 26, 2007 , Howard began his new life with his Savior and Lord. He has now seen Jesus, and a daughter who would show him around, seen many family and friends, seen the gates made of pearl, walked on streets of gold, been to his mansion, drank from the river of life and so much more.
He will be greatly missed here but we can Celebrate his new life.
