Lincoln Boys Play in Kanab Tournament

Dan Lloyd’s young Lincoln County Lynx baseball team played three games in the Kanab, Utah tournament in March; unfortunately, they lost all three.

With only two seniors and two juniors, Lloyd said the team is so young he could have nothing but freshman and sophomores on the field at one time if needed to. “It’s the youngest team I’ve ever had,” he said.

Lincoln played Gunnison, (the defending Utah 2A State Champions) South Severe and Beaver. Although the Lynx lost each game, Lloyd said the boys, inexperienced as they are, played hard and “never gave up and fought clear to the end.”

Lincoln is scheduled to play at Enterprise and Parowan March 11-12.
