Alamo Woman Dies in Traffic Accident
By Dave Maxwell, Staff Writer
A single car rollover March 22 on U.S. Highway 93, about 18 miles north of the 1-15 interchange, took the life of 69-year old Marlene Dillingham of Alamo. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Mrs. Dillingham and her daughter, 39-year old Shawna Loveday of Alamo, were southbound in a Nissan pickup when the left rear tire tread separated and caused the vehicle to veer across the highway and roll several times. Both women were wearing seatbelts, but Mrs. Dillingham died at the scene of injuries suffered. Mrs. Loveday was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Las Vegas with a few broken bones and ribs and a bruised lung.
