Phyllis Marlene Cox

Phyllis Marlene Cox died March 15, 2008 in Alamo, Nevada. She was born Phyllis Marlene Wilkinson on December 22, 1932 in Caliente, Nevada. She is survived by her husband Clarence Cox; brothers Bill Wilkinson and Milford Wilkinson; and children Debra Colleen, Jean, Melodie Lynn, Raydene Dee, Gaylene Lynette, Raymond Frank Jr., and Sharon Lorraine. She was preceded in death by her father, Milford “Casey” Wilkinson; mother, Hilma Burke-Wilkinson; daughter April Iona.
A memorial service was held on March 21, 2008 at the Alamo Chapel, LDS Church with Bishop Robert Foisy conducting.
Phyllis loved being in Alamo. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Alamo Ward. She enjoyed working in the Family History Center at the church and was instrumental in helping to get genealogy work in to the Alamo Ward. She could usually be found cleaning the Church for any event. Phyllis moved with her Dad, Mom, and brothers from Pioche to Delamar, to Lucin, Utah, Salt Lake City, and finally to Henderson, Nevada where she finished high school and prepared herself for her future role as Wife and Mother. Phyllis married Clarence Cox in March 1965. Phyllis had 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Phyllis was interred in the Alamo Cemetery next to her daughter, April. She will be missed by all with fond memories of our time together.
