Coyote Springs opens the first of their Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses for public play starting April 25.
Designed by PGA Legend Jack Nicklaus’ “The Chase” offers a unique flavor for the Signature line, featuring landforms reflecting the drama and beauty of the surrounding mountains. The course also utilizes a lush desert palate including yucca, mesquite, and several species of cacti providing a stunning contrast to perfectly manicured fairways, offering a superb balance between risk-rewarded opportunities and safer plays to accommodate almost every type of golfer.
The course will be open 7 days a week from 8 am to 2 pm from April 25 through June 9. Then the summer hours of 8 am until Noon, Wednesday through Sunday will begin. A temporary clubhouse will be located at the parking area off of State Route 168, next to the main offices until the permanent clubhouse facilities are completed. Golfers are encouraged to use golf carts as some of the course is open desert land.
The clubhouse will have a full flight of the latest PING Technology G10 golf sets for rent. Foursomes and twosomes will constitute most groups playing, although singles can also play. Fore-Caddie Service is available as part of playing fees. A large 20 acre practice facility is located near the #1 tee including all types of target greens and practice bunkers.
Michael Sizemore is Director of Golf at Coyote Springs and a Class A PGA member. The head professional is Todd Michaelsen, formerly of Lahontan Golf Club in the Lake Tahoe-Truckee area.
Coyote Springs will be the first PGA village in the Western U.S., the only other one being in Florida.
