The 2008 CCJLA would like to honor Mr. William “Al” Cox, most affectionately known to all as Al, who has dedicated his time to Livestock, the FFA, 4-H and our youth.
Al is the man who knows sheep. He has sheared sheep all over the county and shares his talents and knowledge with all that are interested. When an FFA or 4-H member needs a hand with a shearing project, Al is the “Go to Guy.” It is not uncommon for Al to work a full day for the Union Pacific Railroad, drive from Panaca to Moapa, shear 10 to 15 project lambs, and stop in Alamo and do a few more along the way.
Al’s willingness to share his wisdom has helped make a difference in many lives. While in the livestock barn, look for rainbow suspenders…that’s our Al. Al… we love you!
