Once again, the 4-H and FFA youth of Lincoln County made us proud, from Dakota Cluff winning Reserve Champion in Market Lamb to Jason Wheatley turning around and winning a Reserve Champion in Market Steer. Then on Friday, Janel Meldrum placed 2nd in Junior Showmanship Swine, followed by Brook Higbee with a 2nd place in Junior Showmanship Lamb. Tyler Center placed 1st in Intermediate Showmanship Steer, followed by Tyler Higbee with a 2nd and Hallie Lewis with a 4th. Then Kimberly Lewis placed with a 3rd in Junior Showmanship Steer and Kelsie Mathews following with a 5th. However, you will note by the results below that all the 4-H and FFA youth did amazing down at the Clark County Fair. You ALL deserve a big hand. Also, we must thank the leaders for the time and effort they invested in these youth, Sue Higbee, Debbie Meldrum and Heather Center, thank you. If you’ve never had the chance to come out and experience a junior livestock show, I encourage you all to attend the 2009 Clark County Fair, you would be amazed at what these youth can do with livestock.

Judging was Terry Burks from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture
