Local Youth Graduates from SUU with Honors

Southern Utah University has designated Shane Clay as graduating with Honors at the May 3, 2008 commencement ceremony. The University will provide him with a medallion in recognition of his academic excellence. The medallion is to be worn around his neck with his commencement gown so that that those attending the ceremony will recognize his outstanding achievement.

Shane was born and raised in Caliente and graduated from Lincoln County High School. His degree is in Elementary Education. He is the son of Lena Clay and the grandson of Bob and Birta Clay of Panaca. Shane spent his summer’s firefighting with the Wilson Creek firefighters.
