Dee Henry Wadsworth was born to George Allen and Bessie M. Wadsworth on August 10, 1933. He passed away June 21, 2008. His life began in a struggle, because he only weighted one pound. His grandmother wrapped him in a towel and placed him on the door of the oven to warm him and it worked; he’s lived a feisty life ever since.

Dee went to schools in Panaca then joined the service and was stationed at Dugway, Utah. He married Jeanett Cole from Caliente, and they had 3 children: Gary, Allen and Bonnie. They spent their family life in Ely, Nevada.

Dee worked for Kennecott Copper Mines for many years, and then worked at the Plaster Gold Mine in Ely until he retired. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family.

Dee had many health problems throughout his life but he always stayed positive and happy. His big brother Max was right there by his side through every incident, even until the end. Dee especially loved his wife and family and he talked often about them. There were the light of his life.

Dee is survived by his wife, Jeanett; his son, Gary; his daughter, Bonnie (Doug); his 4 grandchildren: Ashley, Curtis, Josh, and Malcolm; his great grandson, Cody. He is also survived by his big brother, Max, of Panaca, his sister Sylvia (Orell) of Chino, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held June 24th in the Panaca Cemetery.
