Marlene E. Love, age 48, of Montrose, died Friday morning, June 29, 2007 in Montrose, Colorado.
Marlene E. Ozmun was born on January 14, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of J.M. and Marjorie (Morrison) Ozmun. She spent her childhood in Arvada, Colorado, graduating from Arvada West High School. Marlene continued to pursue her education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
On June 12, 1982, she was united in marriage with her best friend and the love of her life, Daniel A. Love, in Arvada, Colorado.
Marlene lived in Tulare, California; Caliente, Nevada; and Delta, Colorado, before moving to Montrose, where she made her home until the time of her death.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church of Montrose, Presidents Council Good News Jail and Prison Ministries and Local Montrose Area Realtors.
Marlene had a passion for arts and greatly enjoyed oil painting. Marlene’s very presence will leave a huge void in the lives of all who loved her and were richly blessed to spend time together caring, sharing, loving and laughing.
Surviving family members who were honored to share Marlene’s life include her husband, Dan Love DVM, of Montrose; sons: Guy Love, Bob Love and Joe Love, all of Montrose; her parents, Mahlon and Marjorie Ozmun of Arvada, Colorado; one brother, Pastor Oz, of Royal Oaks, Michigan; and one sister, Marilyn Hendricks, of Denver, Colorado.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for Friday evening, July 20, with more details to be announced later.
