BLM Sets Dates for Alamo Industrial Park Land Sales

By Dave Maxwell

October 4 and October 16 are the dates chosen for the first sale of lands in the Alamo Industrial Park. Lincoln County Manager John Lovelady said at the County Commission meeting the first date is for the direct sale of 217 acres of land, known as Parcel A to Lincoln County. This is a private sale between the BLM and the County. The second date is for a competitive oral bidding auction of the 159-acre Parcel B.

Lovelady said the BLM appraiser has been actively working to complete his work and told Lovelady on August 30th, that it should be ready in a couple of weeks.

The sale of Parcel A will simply be a matter of communication between the County and BLM. However, the public sale of Parcel B on Tuesday, October 16 will be held at the Rapport International Executive Retreat building (formerly JFDI) in Alamo at 11:00 a.m. Registration for the bidding begins at 9:00 a.m.
