LC Water Board Refers Two Items to County Commissioners

Two items on the agenda at the regularly scheduled meeting of the LC Water District last Tuesday were remanded back to the County Commission according to board member Ronda Hornbeck. She said the applications from the Water Board to Lincoln County to transfer water from Southern Nevada Water Authority to LCWD are in limbo as the agreement with SNWA was with the County not the Water District.

Another related item, to move forward with a plan to establish where and in what amount LCWD and Lincoln County would like to take 3000 acre feet of water from SNWA’s applications in Delamar, Dry Valley and Spring Valley, was also remanded back to the County Commission for the same reason.

The next meeting of the County Commission will be October 1.
