Lease Agreement with Bredero-Shaw

Caliente City Council members at last weeks regular meeting voted to accept the lease agreement with Bredero-Shaw, the Texas-based pipe-coating manufacturing plant that has taken 62 acres in the Meadow Valley Industrial Park.

Legal counsel John Brown said the lease was a very good document and he recommended only a few minor items on points of clarification and a few modifications.

The firm has even started preliminary talks with Union Pacific about getting a spur from the main line for the new plant. Bredero-Shaw has said they hope to start building the plant sometime next spring.
