Dils Medical Center Thanks County Commissioners
By Dave Maxwell
Lincoln County Hospital Administrator Jason Bleak read a letter of commendation to the Lincoln County Commissioners thanking them for their efforts to help the Grover C. Dils Medical Center.
The letter reads: "It is a pleasure to provide medical services to our neighbors and friends of Lincoln County. Though the task is overwhelming and difficult at times, the staff at Grover C. Dils Medical Center finds enjoyment in our profession. With the addition of the new Alamo Medical Clinic, our responsibilities will be much easier and more enjoyable.
August 7, 2007 marks the first of many days that our services will be rendered in the new Alamo Medical Clinic. We then felt the need to hold an open house to allow the public to become acquainted to the new facility. Currently, the clinic is open two days per week, with a goal of expanding our service time to four days per week. We have hired a Physician’s Assistant that will reside in Alamo and staff the clinic through the week. We are confident that the residents of Pahranagat Valley will support us in our effort to improve the medical service in the southern parts of the county.
Though our site project is not complete, the residents of Pahranagat Valley are benefiting from our new facility. We will continue to work on the project until it is complete. Our vision is to remove the old building, complete some cosmetic improvements to the building, pave the parking lot, and landscape the property.
Amidst this new excitement, we must take a moment to thank the County Commission and their employees for the support and assistance to make this happen. As public servants, we all have the responsibility to care for our county in a way that will bring long-term benefit to the inhabitants thereof. By assisting the Hospital District in this project, a great long-term benefit has been provided.
Again, we must say thank you for all that has been done to help Grover C. Dils Medical Center in this regard.”
The letter is signed by Bleak and all members of the Hospital Board: Steve Rowe, Ed Maloy, Kevin Smith, Gordon Wadsworth and Mary Lloyd.
