Obituary Notice
for
Donna West Caron
June 30, 1967 - October 17, 2007

Our beloved Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Granddaughter, and Niece ended her earthly journey and all her pain and suffering on this earth on October 17, 2007. Donna was born in St. George, Utah on June 30, 1967 to Clara and James West, a twin to Donald. When Donna was three Clara married Roland Simmons and he became her Dad. Donna attended elementary school in St. George. In 1979 the family moved to Caliente, where Donna attended Caliente Elementary, Meadow Valley Middle School and later graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1985. During her senior year Donna completed studies and became a Certified Nurses Assistant. She worked at Grover C. Dils until she graduated from high school. After graduating Donna moved to St. George and lived with her Aunt. She worked with her Aunt at Covey’s Laundry for 8 months and truly enjoyed the time they spent together. Donna then moved to Las Vegas and met and married her first husband Kevin Carson on April 25, 1987. Donna and Kevin spent time living in Vegas, Arizona, Tonopah, and Pioche. They spent their time hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Donna loved all outdoor activities and preparing the food that was taken during their outings. Donna and Kevin were divorced in 1993, but born of their union was a Son and the light of Donna’s life Chad Russell. Donna married Clark Isom in 1994. They were divorced a short time later. Donna moved back to Caliente in 1994 to raise her Son and be near her family. During that time Donna worked at the Midway Motel. In 2000 Donna moved to Alamo where she met her third Husband Leonard Caron. They were married in Alamo on February 3, 2001. They lived in Alamo and Donna worked at Del Pueblo restaurant and also at Rapport Leadership International. In 2004, Donna, Chad and Leonard moved to Panaca. Donna worked in home health taking care of seniors in Panaca. She also worked at the Panaca Senior Center. Donna loved taking care of her seniors and always went the extra mile to do whatever they needed. She was happy to be back in the health care field that she loved so much. In 2005 Donna, Chad and Leonard moved to the Love Ranch where they have resided since. Since they moved there Donna has held many jobs. One she particularly enjoyed was working at One Stop Depot in Caliente for Tina Osborn. Donna and Tina enjoyed many moments together during that time. Donna was a very hard worker and always gave her all to every job or task that she performed. She had a great love for life and the outdoors. She never missed a yard sale, enjoyed collecting antiques and plants and flowers. She had a great love for animals and always had them around her. She liked listening to music, especially classic country. Donna and Leonard enjoyed years of fishing, camping and being together. Donna always said he was her soulmate. She loved her Son and did her best to see that he was happy, he truly was the light of her life. She loved her family, especially her Nephews and Nieces, and made many lasting memories with them all. Donna had a very close and special relationship with her Mom and they spent a lot of time together. Donna endured a great deal of physical and emotional pain for many years. She leaves behind a Son Chad, Husband Leonard, Mother Clara Simmons, Father Rolly, twin Brother Donald West (Julie), Sister Verda Barnett (Gary). Nephews Gary, and Justin Barnett, and Phil Campeau, Koby Budy, Nieces Casey Barnett, Cheyenne West, and Angelyn McCrosky (Marshall), Great Grandmother Verda Myers who Donna loved with all her heart, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins all of which were very much a part of her life. Donna also had a special relationship with her ex-Mother-in-Law Fran, and Fran’s husband Craig Escarzaga, and Grandpa Phil Carson. They remained close until the end. Donna was preceded in death by her Grandfather Oscar Myers.
Donna will be missed terribly by all of those who love her.
Duckss- As you danced in the light with joy, love lifted you. As you brushed against this world so gently, you lifted us. You will be forever in our hearts.

Obituary Notice
for
Melvin James Sharp
February 19, 1931 - October 13, 2007
Melvin James Sharp passed away on October 13, 2007 at the Salt Lake Regional Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.. Melvin was a third generation rancher in Railroad Valley, Nevada. He was the son of Howard Nye and Minnie Jones Sharp.
Melvin attended elementary school at a one room school at the family ranch at Blue Eagle in Railroad Valley. He attended Tonopah High School and was President of his Senior class. Melvin attended the University of Nevada and Utah State University after his High school graduation in 1949. Melvin was inducted in to the U.S. Army in January of 1953, where he served two years as Corporal, until 1955. He received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from UNR after returning from the service.
In 1958, Melvin met and married the love of his life, Nancy Lorraine West. Melvin worked for the University of Nevada at the Austin Agricultural Field station, during which time he and Nancy were heavily involved in school and 4-H activities.
He Retired from Idaho State Aeronautics service prior to returning to Nyala in Railroad Valley, where has lived with his beloved wife Nancy for more than 20 years.. His hobbies and leisure time revolved around the ranch cattle, especially the calves, and gardening in his yard.
During their lengthy marriage they raised four adopted children, relatives and foster children.; these include Melvin L. (Clay) Sharp of Nevada, Arnold Sharp of Idaho, Bernadette Sharp of California, and Michael Sharp of Boise Idaho (deceased) ;a nephew Ronald Garrison of Salt Lake City and Foster daughter Randi Waite of California.
Melvin was predeceased by his Parents, and one son Michael and is survived by wife Nancy Lorraine Sharp of Ely, two brothers , Gerald Howard Sharp of Currant Nevada, and Norman Kenneth Sharp of Nyala, Nevada ; and one sister Miriam Ylst of Tonopah.. He is also survived by three grand children and one niece, Judi Raiche of Las Vegas and one Nephew Kenneth Taylor of Rachel, Nevada.
A celebration of Melvin’s life will be held on October 27, at 11:00 AM at the Currant Community Church followed immediately by a reception at the Currant Community center at 12:00.

Jerald Clarence Wadsworth
November 19, 1934 - October 6, 2007

Jerald Clarence Wadsworth, 72, of Henderson, NV, passed away October 6, 2007, as St. Rose Dominican Hospital after a very brief illness. Jerry was born on November 19, 1934 and raised on a ranch in Alamo, NV. He leaves behind many wonderful lifetime friends, and family. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Jerry moved to Las Vegas in 1959 and went into business with his brothers, forming Wadsworth Brothers Construction Co. Many buildings in Las Vegas were built by their company. In 1995 he formed Byco Builders. His son Jerry Lee and daughter Dawn worked with him in this successful business until his retirement in December of 2006.
Survivors include his loving wife, Byrona and children Rona (Todd) Wilkey, Dawn (Mike) Mathis, Debbie (Mark) Amundson, and Jerry Lee (Kayoko), sisters Nell Wadsworth Davis, Nadine Wadsworth and brother Clayton Wadsworth, as well as his cherished poodles, Gus, Charlie and Sassy. He had 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Eugene Wadsworth and Cecile Vowles Wadsworth; also brothers Bud and Kenneth Wadsworth. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many callings. Services were held in Henderson and burial was in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 123. Davis Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
